Introducing Kaya Toast Notes for Therapists :)

A gentler way for therapists, counsellors, and clients to capture what matters.



As therapists and counsellors, so much of our work happens in fleeting moments.


A sentence that suddenly reveals a core belief, a protector part finally speaking up, a values shift, a breakthrough insight.


But documenting sessions can often feel exhausting, time-consuming, and disconnected from the actual human experience of therapy.


For a long time now I've actually moved from written notes to recording my sessions and then transcribing them.

But I couldn't find an app out there that was either: 1. Free 2. Good enough with enough editting ability that I needed 3. Catered specifically for therapists

4. And has a build-in option to turn our quick notes into a proper format if needed



That’s why I built Kaya Toast Notes.


Kaya Toast Notes is an AI-assisted note-taking app designed specifically for therapists, counsellors, and even clients who want a more natural and reflective way to capture conversations and therapeutic insights.


Instead of scrambling to type notes during sessions or spending hours writing summaries afterwards, the app allows users to simply speak naturally using its built-in voice-to-text system.


Notes are fully editable afterwards, giving therapists full flexibility and control over their documentation style.


But what makes the app especially powerful is its ability to organise and make sense of sessions over time.


Each session can automatically generate:

Rather than replacing therapists, the goal is to reduce cognitive load — helping practitioners spend less energy on admin and more energy being present with clients.\


For clients, Kaya Toast Notes can also become a personal reflection space: a place to capture thoughts, process emotions, remember insights from therapy, and track patterns over time.


At its heart, the app was built around a simple idea :therapy notes should feel human too.
