WORKSHEET: Gratitude Journal Prompts

Developed for some of my clients to not just thank outwardly, but inwardly too.

"I keep writing the SAME THREE THINGS everyday". Was something a client said to me.

We all know the benefits of Gratitude journaling. It offers a simple way to celebrate what we are grateful for in our lives on a more regular basis and to do this with intention and to do so consciously.

The simple act of reflecting on what you’re thankful for and then listing these things out can be a surprising exercise in appreciating the abundance that surrounds us every day. In fact there is a multitude of research telling us how gratitude changes you and your brain - practicing gratitude has shown to make you happier, give you a greater sense of joy, and increase your optimism even in the face of adversity.

Gratitude journaling may even be linked to a better night’s sleep

One of the biggest things that makes this practice boring or reptitive over time is when we only look for gratitude in the EXTERNAL. I mean, how much does our life really change from a day to day basis? If we're just looking at the external, it will feel like we are running out of things to be thankful for.

So in this worksheet, we’ll be breaking down the practice of gratitude that goes outward (e.g. friends, colleagues, postive events) and inward (e.g. tiny wins, strengths used) as well.

Because you're allowed to be thankful for how far you've come too.

So ready to give this another go?

Let's go!
